customer has reported they are unable to view their databases.
I tested on firefox and works fine, but on Internet Explorer 8 I cannot view databases either. When trying to open the user databases tree I get a popup message "the url that was requested does not exist"
Is there a known issue with IE8?

This is not specific to IE8. This occurs when the query used to retrieve the db list times out.
Edit your config.xml file and change <askdb /> node to <askdb value="true" />
Thus, your customer will be able to specify their db name in the connection dialog form.
