Hi,
I need to convert a newly set up mssql database on the host server through mylittleadmin to become the same database as i have been testing on Visual Web developer, this seems to come in 2 parts the databasename.mdf file and the databasename.ldf file.
I think I need to upload them somehow, can anyone advise me?

You cannot use myLittleAdmin to do that.
1st solution: Your host provides myLittleBackup (http://www.mylittlebackup.com). In this case, you just need to create a backup of your local database, and then restore this backup using myLittleBackup.
2nd solution: Your host does not provide myLittleBackup. Then you need to create a backup of your local database, send this backup to your host support team and ask them to restore it.

hi,
I tried the myLittleBackup route but still keep getting it wrong.
As far as I can see.
1) I upload the Visual Web Developer Studdio upload (containing the database.mdf and database.ldf in the App_Data directory on the hosting root folder.
2) I create a database through my control panel called the same name as the database in the root directory.
3) Try to restore the created database from the uploaded database (pointing to first the .mdf then the .ldf)
This doesn't get the data and settinggs into the hosted server.
Is there a tutorial I can follow?

1. create a backup of your local database using SQL Server Management Studio
2. create a db through your control panel
3. log into myLittleBackup
4. choose Restore
5. select your newly created database
6. upload the backup file you created at step1 (with myLittleBackup interface)
7. click the restore button

hi , the same here and i cannot do it :(
i have .mdf and .ldf files (2 files) , and i go to mylittleadmin and :
1- Backup Wizard (Web Hosting)
2- Restore Wizard (Web Hosting) - i select the same file .bak i created -
the question is what i do with the to DB files ?
plz help me ..

As far as I know, H-Sphere is a control panel and not a webhoster.
At last, ldf and mdf files are not backup files...
Do not see how we could help you with so few info!

Paul There are a lot of interesting tools on my computer,but one of them is especial to my mind,because of yesterday something happened with my sql server. And this tool helped me quite rapidly and absolutely free as far as I remembered - how can i recover my data from .mdf file. The program showed me one of its opportunities such as restored Microsoft SQL files.

I'm pretty sure this tool is quite interesting. But there is no chance it can be used in a shared hosting environment as the .mdf/.ldf files are not accessible without high privilege access...
