Hi,
I have a customer that has a .bak file from another server and he wants to restor this database into his database in our system.
He logs in to his database "1000123_db" with the user "1000123_user" The database owner is set to his user. He goes to the restore(webhosting version) and uploads his db-backup from another server and it works but he cant use the database. The db loose its owner and the owner field is empty and needs to be manually set by me on the server.
How do we solve this? The owner of the DB needs to be the same user as logged in into mylittleadmin.
Note that it's not a problem if he takes a backup in mylittleadmin and restores it, the problem only applies to databases from other systems.

myLittleAdmin restore feature is quite simple and does not offer such features. For a complete solution to backup and restore db on a shared sql server, we recomment to use myLittleBackup (http://www.mylittlebackup.com) During the restore process, myLittleBackup does all these stressfull tricks like db owner, user mapping, orphan users, db size limits etc... (including when the backup comes from another system)

That was annoying! Then we need to set up the database publishing wizard instead :(

Sorry, to pay $4,990 for that single functionality is a little bit to much. That is the only function that we miss, yes I know that MyLittleBackup contains more functionality but we don't need it

myLittleBackup costs $490 per SQL Server. If the only problem is the pricing, contact us by email or through our live chat. I'm sure we can find a solution.
